Packeteer Specialist Level I Description:
The course “Packeteer Specialist” is the first certified course of the Packeteer Training and Certification Program. This course is suitable for Pre- and Post- sales personnel wishing to gain a concise understanding of the technology behind and implementation of the Packeteer products.
Therefore we have setup a goal which is to develop basic knowledge and skills sufficient to operate and install Packeteer on a daily basis. Course members:
This course is of a technical nature; therefore experience of networking technology is essential. An understanding of TCP is a definite advantage, as is the basic operational characteristics of higher-level application protocols such as Citrix and HTTP. Objectives:
At the end of this course students will understand the features, operation and technology behind the PacketShaper products and be able to carry out the following tasks:
• PacketShaper Overview
• Classifying Traffic
• Analyzing Network, Application and Host Performance
• Generating Network and Application Performance Reports
• Controlling Network Traffic
• Compressing and Accelerating Network Traffic
• Maintaining PacketShaper
• Troubleshooting Network Traffic Problems Special Requirement:
Delegates are required to provide 1 PC/Laptop for use on the class. Each PC needs to have a web browser, FTP and Telnet clients, and the user will be required to change the IP configuration for the class. Kosten
